Pipeline #413 failed with stages
1. Main Objective - Implement a cost effective and low power method to recognize the digits of the meter readings of existing mechanical water meters (Volumetric water meters)
2. Main Research questions -
How the smart water meter reader should be fixed.
How to build a low-power smart water meter reader in a cost effective way.
How to transfer data.
How to calculate real-time bill.
How to create user water consuming statistics and analysis
How to analyze and view water management and leak detection
3. Individual research question -
Leakage detection and water management analysis - National Water Supply and Drainage Board doesn't have a proper way to identify leakage in users houses and in baselines. And also they doesn’t have a methods to manage and check quality of the water. Also they doesn't have method to answer to user complaints regarding cut water in several areas at several time per day.
Image processing for the captured digit, calculate the bill & Power management -
Inability to access water meters.
Generate default bill because of damaged Water Meter/ inaccessibility to water meters.
False meter reading due to human error.
User doesn't have any idea how much he/she have to pay till bill issued by meter reader
Create a cost effective device that can be easily implemented without replacing the current devices in use.
6LoWPAN implementation and 6LoWPAN mesh network simulation using Cooja Simulator.
Online dashboard and user water consumption analysis
4. Individual Objectives
Leakage detection and water management analysis -
Identify leakage in users homes and water baselines in particular area.
Water management
Water quality management
Image processing for the captured digit, calculate the bill & Power management -
Capture the digit from meter using least cost camera.
Calculate the bill amount for that digits by using water board bill calculation equation.
Give a better billing service by reducing human errors.
Power management
6LoWPAN implementation and 6LoWPAN mesh network simulation using Cooja Simulator - Create a cost effective device that can be easily implemented without replacing the current devices in use.
As per my functions my objective is to reduce the human resource and increase the use of technology in the water board sector
Also by calculating the usage of each user and creating a statistics people will use water efficiently rather than wasting it.
