# 20_21-J03 **Main Objective**
* Solve any kind of question related to the Probability and statistics.
**Main Research questions**
* Probability and statistics is a compulsory course that every student have to follow when they are doing GCE A/L’s in Mathematics stream.
* Understanding the probability is difficult to students, due to many reasons.
* Understanding of the probability and statistics become harder mainly because of the lack of resources for students to follow.
* The passing rate of probability and statistics is very less compared to other mathematic courses.
**Individual research question**
IT17009546:
* How can an image processing input method be used effectively and user friendly to get inputs to a mobile application ?
IT17181570:
* Raises several issues for consideration by both Statistics Education professionals and potential users of “Statistics apps”.
* Input may be by typing in values or by using sliders.
* Calculation applications which enable the user to summarise data and plot it in various ways, but have no inference or model fitting capabilities.
IT17165662:
* Many students have difficult to study probability and statistics related questions and making deduction related to the probability and statistical concepts.
* Students regard the probability an statistics theory and formulas to be memorized
* Think the result can be reached just through operational knowledge.

* How to teach student’s probability and statistics content in an understandable way?

Specific Objective:
* Provide effective and user-friendly data input method to the mobile application using image processing techniques
Sub Objectives:
* Get the question type as well as some other related data to calculate the output.
* Use the mobile device camera as a scanner to scan images.
* Identify the letters and numbers from the captured image.
* Reads the pdf file and identify the letters and numbers.
* Guide to use the camera input method in Sinhala, Tamil and English.

* Extract data for binding values using machine learning.
Sub Objectives:
* Takes highlighted data by user when input question.
* Extract the values and dataset from scanned image.
* Check inserted question pattern with stored question patterns in the database according to A/L probability and statistics syllabus.
* Identify the question pattern.
* Identify the values for solving the question, which match with content of the question pattern.
* Pass those values to do the calculation.

* Solve any type of question related to probability and statistics module and generate the answers step by step related to the question pattern.
Sub Objectives:
* Take the related equation and conditions from the database.
* Apply the important data into the related equation and solve the question.
* Display the answer step by step.
* Generate the graphs (graphical representations) according to the question and give the options to customize the graph before saving or printing.

* Depending on probability and statistic categorizes we will provide different levels of video tutorials to students grain their knowledge.
Sub Objectives:
* Providing steps to solve question.
* Get values from calculation function
* Design database to store questions and data.
* Create database and it connections.
* Assessing student’s knowledge by giving question sets.
* Display tutorials and theories.
* Finally camper student’s knowledge by giving random question set.
