Nowadays, people are more intended to use online platforms. Along with that, the transportation industry also, moved to internet-based systems to ease our day to day routine much easier.
When we considering those taxi services, the taxi companies need to keep up their standards in a good position. However, the taxi drivers have a big role to play in that case as they are the ones who engage with customers to represent their company.
But how can the Company monitor the driver as they are on their trips with customers. In this research we are going to address those issues.
As a driver, they should follow some strict rules, discipline and good communication with their customers. In our research, we are implementing an infotainment system which monitors the driver in 2 different areas.
- Driver’s physical behavior throughout the journey.
- The communication style of the driver with customer
Also, the system will detect the customer’s emotion and play a song related to his current emotion.
Apart from that the system is capable of detecting whether customers have forgotten their bags and get out from the vehicle. That would be very beneficial in terms of the customers who uses the taxi service.
So, this Research will cover number of gaps which are there in taxi services these days.

## Research Question
There are number of doubts regarding taxi services in the world. We have focused on some major issues in our research and going to address them.
Mainly, as customers we get into a taxi vehicle, we are not aware of the driver. Also, we do not know whether the driver's driving is safe or not. Even the vehicle owner or the management of taxi service does not know whether the driver is doing his job according to the correct standards. Currently, they do not have a method to monitor the driver or to get to know about the driver’s behavior during the driving apart from the customer reviews.
These days, the common mistakes that drivers use to do are, making calls during the drive, not focusing on the road, looking around and not concentrating on the driving, another common fault done by the driver is the way they talk to their customers. So, these are some real-world problems we detected in this area of taxi service.
Apart from that, we have witnessed that some drivers are playing songs in their vehicles which are not pleasant for our ears. Especially in some emotional stages. Let’s say a customer gets into a taxi car to go to a funeral, but he/she gets to hear a pop song. So that is not helpful for the customer. Customer might ask the driver to switch the song or to stop the music. So that is a problem we are addressing in our Research project.
Also, some common mistake we all suffer is forgetting something inside the Taxi. The proposed system will address that issue as well.

## Individual Objectives
**Main Objective:**
Build an infotainment system for Taxi vehicles to have well-disciplined drivers in Taxi services and to make a safe and comfortable journey for all the passengers at the end.
**Sub Objective 1:**
Track driver’s behavior, whether he is looking around while driving by not concentrating on the road. And monitor whether the driver is using his mobile phone while he is driving. So that customers and Taxi companies can have well-disciplined drivers.
**Sub Objective 2:**
Once a customer leaves, the camera will detect for any additional items on the seat of the vehicle using image processing. If there is anything, then the infotainment system will notify the drive. So then the driver can hand it over to the customer at that time before the customer go beyond.
**Sub Objective 3:**
Detect the driver’s voice tone and get his emotional status when he is talking to his customers. So that drivers will lead to communicate with customers in a very good manner.
**Sub Objective 4:**
Detect customer’s emotions by monitoring their facial expressions and play music according to their current expressions. So that customers can finish their trips by listening to music that they like at that moment.
